Wilmington NC Pedestrian Injured by DWI Driver
A pedestrian in Wilmington NC suffered a broken leg after being hit by an impaired driver. The accident happened early Monday morning near the intersection of Market Street and Dapple Court.
According to available information, the impaired driver was speeding on Market Street and attempted to flee police by turning onto Dapple Court. The driver hit a curb and then struck the pedestrian before crashing into a retention pond in front of the Staybridge Suites. The driver has been charged with felony hit-and-run, DWI, failure to maintain lane and felony serious injury by vehicle while impaired.
