Waverunner Jetski Accident in Currituck Sound Injures Connecticut Man
Corolla, NC (June 26, 2020) – Connecticut Man Injured in Currituck Sound Watercraft Accident
A wreck involving personal watercraft in Currituck Sound on Wednesday has resulted in serious injuries to a Connecticut man.
The wreck happened around 2:00 pm in the Whalehead Bay area near Corolla. According to available information, a New Jersey man operating a personal watercraft struck the personal watercraft operated by the Connecticut man. The wreck caused injuries to the Connecticut man and his granddaughter.
The granddaughter was treated and released from the hospital. The Connecticut man was transferred to Sentara Hospital in Norfolk for treatment of head injuries which sounds very serious.
The New Jersey man was cited by the North Carolina Wildlife Commission for negligent and careless operation of a personal watercraft resulting in injury.
