Raleigh Pedestrian Seriously Injured When Glenwood Avenue Driver Runs Off Road
A pedestrian was seriously injured on Saturday evening in Raleigh when a woman ran a red light and struck another car causing the second car to run off the road and strike him.
The pedestrian, Mahmoud “Sammy” Abdelalim was taken to WakeMed in critical condition. He apparently was just standing on the sidewalk when he was hit.
The driver of the first car has been charged with failure to yield the right of way and driving without an operator’s license. The driver of the second car, Wisam Adnan Al-Dwehji, was not charged as it was determined that he had a green light.
