Pitt County NC Wreck Near Chicod Results in Injuries
Chicod, NC (January 20, 2021) – N.C. Highway 43 wreck in Chicod, North Carolina results in injuries.
A serious accident in the small Pitt County, North Carolina community of Chicod has result in injuries to at least one person.
The wreck happened at around 11:00 am on Tuesday when a Ford Explorer driving east on Stokestown St. John Road did not yield at the intersection with N.C. Highway 43 and struck a Jeep SUV. The Jeep was traveling north on N.C. 43.
The resulting collision knocked the Jeep into the building for Lee’s Wood Furniture. The driver of the Jeep was taken to Vidant Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
The driver of the Ford was charged in the incident.
