Man Dies After Falling While Dismantling Ferris Wheel at Greensboro Coliseum
A 42 year old gentlemen fell to his death Monday while dismantling a Ferris wheel that was part of a six week carnival at the Greensboro Coliseum. The man, Michael Cook, was apparently from Georgia. He and another man fell but it is not clear what caused the fall. Click here for more on this terrible story.
Another aspect of this story is particularly troubling. The North Carolina General Assembly is now contemplating significant changes to the North Carolina workman’s compensation laws that would limit recoveries for workplace accidents.
