Fayetteville Man Killed After Sheriff’s Deputy Turns Into His Path
James Adams of Fayetteville was killed on Thursday when a sheriff’s deputy turned into his path on Eastern Boulevard.
The sheriff’s deputy was apparently trying to turn left onto N.C. 87 when he crossed the path of Mr. Adams. Apparently both vehicles had a green light but the sheriff’s deputy should have yielded to Mr. Adams before making the turn. State highway patrol officers are meeting with the Cumberland County DA to consider charges.
