Highway 70 Crash in Clayton NC Results in Multiple Injuries
A serious crash on US Highway 70 in Clayton, North Carolina has resulted in multiple injuries. The crash happened on Saturday night around 8:00 near the intersection of Town Centre Boulevard. According to available information, a Hyundai Tucson traveling eastbound on Highway 70 crossed the median into the westbound lane and hit a Toyota Camry head-on. There is no word on how seriously the Camry driver was injured.
The driver of the Camry had to be extricated from his vehicle. The woman driving the Hyundai and her 10 year old child were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. A Chevy Traverse traveling westbound was also hit during the collision and the driver of the Traverse was also transported to a local emergency room for treatment.
There is no indication as to why the driver of the Hyundai lost control and crossed the median and into the opposite travel lane. If we learn more about the cause of this accident, we will update this post.
