Henderson NC Crash Results in Death of Teen and Injuries to Two Other Teens
A tragic crash in Henderson, North Carolina over the weekend has resulted in the death of one teenager and serious injuries to two other teenagers. The crash happened on US Highway 1 when a 29-year old man failed to slow down behind the teenagers and crashed into them.
The specific details of the crash and not clear but we do know that a 16 year old girl named Kasi Thompson was killed and a young man named Elijah Brown was seriously injured. The teenagers are students at the Henderson Collegiate School.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the teenagers is facing several charges. This driver was already due in court next week on charges of speeding and reckless driving and it appears he had a revoked license. It is not clear why he did not reduce speed in causing this crash and hopefully investigating officers will be able to determine if he was distracted by using his phone or distracted by some other issue.
This is obviously a terrible collision and we certainly hope that the surviving teenagers recover from their injuries.
