Haw River NC Accident Involving Mulch Truck Kills Anibal Santos
A gentleman named Anibal Santos was tragically killed on Tuesday when a mulch truck crossed the center line and struck the car he was driving.
The accident happened around 4:00 pm at the intersection of Stone Street and Trollingwood Road in Haw River, North Carolina. According to reports, the mulch truck driver lost control and crossed directly into the path of Mr. Santos and his family. Mr. Santos’ wife was injured as were their 3 month old grand-daughter.
According to reports, charges are pending. At this time it is not clear why the driver of the mulch truck lost control and hopefully the NC Highway Patrol investigating officers have secured the driver’s cell phone to see if he was using it at the time of the accident. More and more accidents involving texting and other cell phone use are happening on the roads of North Carolina and this could yet be another such case.
