Foreclosure Class Action Against GMAC Filed in Maine
In what may be the beginning of a wave of class action litigation over foreclosure practices, several plaintiffs in Maine have brought a class action against GMAC Mortgage. The plaintiffs claim that the company routinely and systematically files false certifications that it has a right to foreclose on Maine homeowners, and false affidavits when asking courts to enter foreclosure judgments.
