Child Struck and Killed Outside Lighthouse Group Home in Clayton NC
There is nothing worse than the death of a child. Unfortunately, that is what happened on Monday evening outside of the Lighthouse group home in Clayton, North Carolina.
According to reports, 12 year old Khalil Todd was hit by a car in front of the group home located on Ranch Road. Following this accident, there are significant questions about whether the home was properly supervising this young boy. Apparently, there had been previous reports of children form the home playing in the street. The facility is a level three residential treatment facility for young men with mental health issues. This should mean that the facility is very structured and highly supervised. NC DHHS is investigating the circumstances of this tragic accident.
