Woman Turns In Front of Hope Mills Motorcyclist Killing Driver and Seriously Injuring Passenger
A terrible wreck in Cumberland County near Fayetteville on Saturday afternoon has resulted in the death of a motorcyclist and serious injuries to a passenger on the motorcycle.
According to reports, the wreck happened when a woman turned into the path of the motorcycle while making a turn onto U.S. Highway 301. The woman apparently did not see the motorcycle being driven by Daniel Alward of Hope Mills, North Carolina. Tragically, Mr. Alward was killed in the wreck and his wife, who was riding on the motorcycle with him, was seriously injured. The woman driving the car has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and several other infractions.
