Surf City, NC Accident Still Being Investigated by Police

A terrible accident inland in Surf City, NC has police calling in extra resources to sort out what happened.

The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in front of the Food Lion Grocery Store on NC 50. An elderly gemtlemen from North Holly Ridge was killed in the accident. Surf City police are looking for any additional witnesses to the crash as there are apparently conflicting accounts of what happened. The police department can be reached at 910-328-7711, The police department has also asked the Jacksonville police department’s accident reconstruction team to assist with the investigation.
