Rockingham NC Dragway Accident Seriously Injures Photographer Ian Toucher

A photographer named Ian Toucher was seriously injured in an incident at the Rockingham Dragway in Richmond County, NC on Saturday. The incident apparently happened when drag racer Ronnie Davis completed a run down the drag strip and then lost control of his car causing it to strike the wall and flip. Debris from the car then struck Mr. Toucher who was apparently nearby.

Mr. Davis was taken to a local hospital in Pinehurst, NC and Mr. Toucher was airlifted to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Hopefully, both of these gentlemen will recover from their injuries. Injuries arising from the use of racetracks can often be serious and there may be several levels of potential liability here – particularly as it relates to the injuries suffered by Mr. Toucher.
