Reading PA Family Killed in Lexington NC Crash

Three members of a family from Reading PA were tragically killed in a crash last week near Lexington, North Carolina. The victims include Bryan Dawson, Garrett Dawson and Kylie Dawson.

The wreck happened on N.C. Highway 109 at around 6:17 pm when a 19 year old crossed the center line and hit the Dawson’s vehicle head-on. The driver of the Dawson vehicle, Melissa Dawson, is the only survivor from her vehicle. The driver, of the other vehicle has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and driving left of center. It is not clear whether the driver was distracted or using an electronic device that might explain why he crossed the center line and caused this horrific wreck.

This crash is one of the saddest we have seen in North Carolina in a long time. The Dawsons apparently were visiting a family lake house when this wreck happened. Our thoughts and prayers are with the remaining members of the Dawson family.
