Randall Padgett Killed in Godwin NC Crash With Impaired Driver

A gentleman named Randall Padgett was tragically killed on Saturday when he was hit by an impaired driver near Godwin, North Carolina.

The wreck happened around 9:00 pm on NC Highway 1828 near the intersection with James Dale Road. According to available information, Mr. Padgett was travelling on NC 1828 when a man crossed the center line and hit Mr. Padgett head-on. Mr. Padgett died at the scene. He was 65 years old and from Godwin, North Carolina.

The driver of the second car was arrested on charges of felony death by motor vehicle and driving while impaired and has a bond set at $150,000.
