North Iredell High School Roof Collapse Injures at 25 Students

On Saturday morning an awning collapse happened at North Iredell High School in Olin, North Carolina which resulted in at least 25 injured people.

The collapse occurred just before a band competition was scheduled to begin at the high school. Apparently, a box truck hit one of the awning supports causing the awning to fall onto the band students. There were at least 25 injuries including some students with very serious injuries. Thankfully, it does not appear that there were any fatalities.

It is not clear why the box truck hit the awning support or who was driving the truck. Obviously, this is a very serious accident with very serious claims for the injured students. Hopefully, investigating police will be able to determine why this accident occurred.
