Motorcyclist Killed in Concord NC Crash With Loose Trailer
Concord, NC (October 21, 2020) – Motorcyclist Killed After Collision With Unattached Trailer
Concord, North Carolina – a man driving a motorcycle was tragically killed on Tuesday morning in Concord when his motorcycle was hit by an unattached trailer.
The collision happened on Warren C. Coleman Boulevard just before noon near the intersection with Wilshire Avenue. According to available information, the 37 year old motorcyclist was travelling north on Warren C. Coleman while a vehicle pulling the trailer was coming southbound. The trailer apparently hit the motorcyclist head-on.
Police are investigating the accident.
Our firm has significant experience handling unattached trailer cases. Several years ago we obtained a very significant recovery following an unattached trailer accident in Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. As in our other case, it seems apparent that the person operating the vehicle-trailer combination violated North Carolina General Statute 20-123 which requires, among other things, safety chains to prevent this type of accident.
