Michael Ward Jr. Killed in North Carolina Accident on Interstate 77

A gentleman named Michael Ward, Jr. was riding as a passenger in a van that crashed early Monday morning on Interstate 77 in North Carolina.

The accident happened around 3:30 am near the intersection of I-77 and I-40 near Statesville, North Carolina. According to reports, Mr. Ward was sleeping in the back of the van when the driver of the van crashed into one of the concrete barriers in a construction zone.

There is some indication the driver may have fallen asleep. Mr. Ward was 28 years old and from Tampa, Florida.
