Knightdale NC Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Accident

Knightdale NC (January 18, 2021) – Bicycle rider seriously injured in a crash with van.

On Friday night, a woman riding a bicycle was seriously injured when she was hit by a van on Hodge Road. The wreck happened in a crosswalk near the location where the Mingo Creek Greenway crosses Hodge Road.

According to available information, the 1996 Ford Econoline van failed to yield to the woman and hit her in the crosswalk.

The woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries but was expected to survive.

The driver of the van has been charged with failure to yield.
