A traigc accident has claimed the life of a car driver on US 221 North near Marion, NC.

The accident apparently happened when a dump truck driver failed to secure a load and allowed a rock to fall off which then went through the windshield of a car killing the driver. The driver of the dump truck has been charged with failure to secure the load.
