Driver Charged With DWI Kills One and Seriously Injures Three Others

A terrible wreck near Whiteville involving a driver charged with DWI has resulted in one death and three serious injuries. The driver, James Bellamy, was driving on Pine Log Road when he hit a car driven by Sylvia Covington.

Tragically, Ms. Covington died in the wreck and her husband and son were seriously injured as was her son’s girlfried. Bellamy is also in the hospital but faces charges.
