Cassandra Martin Killed in Raleigh I-40 Collision

A woman named Cassandra Martin was killed in a terrible accident on Sunday night in Raleigh on Interstate 40.

The accident happened after a tractor-trailer and another vehicle were involved in a collision in the eastbound lanes near Hammond Road. This vehicle, driven by Terry Thompson, stalled as a result of the first collision. While the Thompson vehicle was stalled, a third vehicle crashed into the rear of the Thompson vehicle. Ms. Cassandra Martin was a passenger in the third vehicle and she did not survive the accident. Raleigh police are investigating the accident. Ms. Martin was 23 years old.
