Belmont NC Accident on I-85 Involving Tractor Trailer Results in One Death
On Tuesday evening a vehicle apparently struck the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 85 near exit 23 in Belmont, North Carolina.
It is not clear what caused the driver of the vehicle to strike the back of the tractor-trailer. In similar cases, we have seen situations where a tractor-trailer has pulled off the side of an interstate and that has partially resulted in the crash. In this case, State Highway Patrol officers are still investigating the accident to determine what may have happened.
