Thrana Frye Killed Near Lincolnton NC in Crash With Dump Truck Trailer

A woman named Thrana Frye was killed in a tragic wreck on Friday afternoon when she was hit by a trailer being pulled by a dmup truck.

The wreck happened on Bethel Church Road just north of Lincolnton, NC at around 12:30 pm.  North Carolina State Highway Patrol troopers indicate that the dump truck was pulling a large flat-bed trailer that crossed the center-line into Ms. Frye’s lane as the truck entered a curve.

Ms. Frye, who was 48 years old and from Iron Station, NC, was driving a Nissan Maxima.  Ms. Frye was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time there is no indication of charges against the dump truck driver.  However, it would seem apparent that the dump truck driver failed to maintain proper control of his vehicle and that this resulted in the death of Mr. Frye.
