A woman was seriously injured on Thursday afternoon on Interstate 40 in Burke County, North Carolina when a UPS truck ran into the back of her car.
The wreck happened around 5:00 pm near mile marker 110 in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40. According to available information, the UPS truck initially hit a pickup truck causing the truck to spin in the roadway. The UPS truck then swerved to the left and slammed into a Honda sedan driven by the injured woman.
According to reports, charges are pending against the driver of the UPS truck. At this point, it is not known why the driver of the UPS truck was driving with inattention and if we learn more about this wreck, we will update this post.
