Tractor-Trailer Blowout Causes Wreck on Hopewell Church Road in Randolph County, NC

Two people suffered injuries on Sunday in Randolph County, North Carolina when a tractor-trailer experienced a tire blowout and crossed the center line of Hopewell Church Road and struck a Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Two occupants of the PT Cruiser were injured and required transportation to a local hospital.  There i no indication as to their condition.

The available information does not indicate whether charges were filed as a result of the accident.  However, it would seem apparent that the operator of the tractor-trailer would at least be cited for at a failure to maintain lane control.
