Eight Injured When Truck Hits Farm Vehicle on Boyles Road in Lawndale, North Carolina

Eight people injured, some seriously, when pickup truck hits farm truck near Lawndale, North Carolina in property farmed by Knob Creek Orchard.

At around 12:00 noon on Monday a pickup truck rear-ended a John Deere Gator on Boyles Road near Lawndale, North Carolina causing multiple serious injuries.  The wreck happened when the man driving the Chevrolet pickup failed to reduce his speed and hit the Gator and knocked it off the side of the road.

One person riding in the Gator was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte and seven others were transported by ground ambulance to local hospitals.  Some of the victims had very serious injuries.

The driver of the pickup is facing charges.
