Xavier Norman Injured in Hubert NC Crash

A young man named Xavier Norman was injured in a crash near Hubert, North Carolina on Monday that also claimed one life and resulted in injuries to several other people.  The crash happened around 12:13 pm at the intersection of Smith Road and Riggs Road when a man ran a stop sign while driving a Toyota Rav4.  The Toyota his a Nissan Maxima carrying Mr. Norman and one other person who sustained minor injuries.

A passenger in the Toyota tragically did not survive the wreck.  According to State Highway Patrol Officers on the scene, the intersection was posted with flashing lights and it is unclear why the man did not stop at the stop sign.
