Steven Richardson Killed in New Bern, NC Crash With Uninsured Driver

A young man named Steven Richardson was tragically killed on Sunday in a crash involving an uninsured driver.  The wreck happened on US Highway 17 when the driver of the vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree. Mr. Richardson, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was trapped but later extricated by emergency responders.  After being airlifted to Vidant Medical Center, he passed away from his injuries.  Mr. Richardson was 22 years old and from New Bern.

The uninsured driver was also injured but survived the wreck.  The driver faces numerous charges including driving without insurance.
