Wilmington NC Pedestrian Christopher Cook Killed in Accident

A gentleman named Christopher Cook was tragically killed in an accident on Wednesday afternoon at a busy intersection in Wilmington, North Carolina.

The accident involved a mini-van that apparently hit Mr. Cook as Mr. Cook crossed the road at Carolina Beach Road and Shipyard Boulevard.  Initial reports suggest that the minivan was traveling with a green light but that is not confirmed.  It is also not clear whether Mr Cook was sufficiently established within the roadway such that the minivan should have avoided the collision.
