Laurinburg NC Dump Truck Accident Seriously Injures Kenneth McInnis

A serious accident near Laurinburg NC involving a dump truck has resulted in injuries to two men – James Galloway and Kenneth McInnis.

The accident happened on Friday afternoon on U.S. 74.  According to available information, Mr. Galloway was driving the dump truck when a tire blew out causing him to lose control.  The dump truck then slammed into the overpass at Turnpike Road before catching on fire.  Mr. Galloway was seriously injured and ultimately transported to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.  Mr. McInnis, who was a passenger in the truck, was ultimately transported to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.  Mr. Galloway was charged in the wreck for failure to maintain lane.

This is obviously a very serious accident and the victims will certainly need all of the help they can get for medical bills and their injuries.  One thing that stands out is that it is not clear why the truck blew a tire in this case.  In some cases such as this, there may be a claim against a separate company who may be responsible for maintenance of the truck.
