Morehead City N.C. Boat Fire Results in Two Serious Injuries

A serious accident involving an explosion and fire aboard a 28 foot boat in Morehead City has resulted in serious injuries to two people.

According to reports, two men had just filled up their newly purchased 28 foot Carolina Classic boat with gasoline.  However, the boat would not start for about twenty minutes and then it suddenly exploded.  Two men were taken to Carteret General Hospital.  The men had just purchased the boat the day before in Oriental.

It is not clear from reports what caused the explosion. Hopefully, for the sake of the victims and their families, law enforcement officials will be able to determine what happened in this serious accident.
