Man Mowing Grass Along Interstate 40 in NC Hit By Tractor Trailer

A man mowing the grass along Interstate 40 in Pender County, North Carolina was hit by a tractor-trailer on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened near mile marker 396 and involved traffic traveling in the westbound lanes.  It is not clear what caused the tractor trailer to leave the paved roadway and strike the man.  Both the driver of the tractor trailer and the man mowing the grass were injured and taken to the hospital.
