Jacksonville, NC Head-On Collision Results in Two Fatalities and One Serious Injury

A terrible head-on collision near Jacksonville, NC has resulted in two deaths and injuries to a third person.

The tragic accident apparently happened when the driver of a blue Kia crossed the centerline of US 258 and struck a Ford Explorer driver by Mr. Edward Johnson.  The driver of the Kia did not survive and Mr. Johnson was also killed.  A passenger in the Kia survived but with serious injuries.  This passenger was airlifted to New Hanover Regional Center for treatment.  New Hanover Regional Medical Center serves as the area Level 1 trauma center.
