Accident on NC 87 Results in Death of Sanford, NC Woman

A terrible accident on NC 87 on Thursday has resulted in the death of a Sanford, NC woman.

The accident happened on Thursday evening when a car carrying Jessica Wilson attempted to turn from NC 87 onto Broadway Road.  As the car was attempting the turn, a truck struck the passenger side of the car.  Police have determined that the car failed to yield the right-of-way to the truck.  There is no indication as to whether charges are pending for this accident but it would be typical to see that the driver of the car is charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle.
