Howard McQueen of Whiteville, North Carolina was killed in a terrible accident Thursday evening on N.C. Highway 410.
The accident apparently happened around 6:50 pm near the intersection of Highway 410 and U.S. 74. According to reports, a large Ford work truck drove across the centerline and caused the terrible crash. The work truck is owned by a company called Cargotec which is based in Ohio. Mr. McQueen was traveling in other direction and was hit head-on.

This is obviously a terrible accident and it appears that there was nothing that Mr. McQueen could have done to avoid the on-coming truck. From the article, it is noted that it was raining at the time of the wreck but it is not clear if this played a role in causing the accident.
