A serious accident in Washington, North Carolina on Highway 264 on Friday night has resulted in one death and serious injuries to a second man.
The accident apparently happened when an 80 year old man driving an SUV hit a wrecker truck that was stopped on the side of the road. As a result of the impact, a man was pinned. This man was eventually taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville which serves as the area level four trauma center. Unfortunately, the 80 year old man did not survive the wreck.
