Roy Futrell was killed last Monday in a terrible accident on US 258 south of Murfreesboro, North Carolina. The accident apparently happened when Mr. Futrell was traveling on US 258 while at the same time a tractor trailer was in the process of backing into a private driveway off US 258.
The facts of what happened are not clear but apparently Mr. Futrell’s pickup became wedged under the trailer portion of the tractor-trailer. As a result of the impact, Mr. Futrell did not survive.
Police are apparently investigating the case to determine if the driver of the tractor trailer should be charged.
