A terrible and tragic ATV accident near Fayetteville has claimed the life of an 11 year old boy .
The accident apparently happened when the young boy was riding on the back of the ATV driven by another child. the other child lost control and crashed killing his young passenger. Apparently the passenger was not wearing a helmet.
This accident is a terrible tragedy that probably could have been avoided. Under North Carolina law, children under 12 should never operate an ATV without adult supervision and under 16 only with adult supervision.
