Brittany Liles of Pine Level, North Carolina was injured Wednesday morning when a tractor trailer rear-ended her on I-95 near Selma.
Apparently, the driver of the tractor-trailer was bending over to pick up some candy when he ran into the back of the Jeep. The tractor-trailer driver was cited for failure to reduce speed. Two other vehicles were also involved but did not invovle injuries.
Thankfully, it appears Ms. Liles will survive this scary wreck. Whenever a tractor trailer hits a car, it is the equivalent of a 160 pound man hitting a 6 pound baby. Given the danger associated with tractor trailers, we would all hope they would be more careful on the roadways and ensure preventable wrecks such as this do not happen.
