Alcohol Involved Vance County Accident Seriously Injures Derrick Burchette and Kills Daughter

Derrick Burchette of Warrenton, North Carolina was seriously injured on Friday night in an accident on U.S. Highway 1 in Vance County.  Tragically, Mr. Burchette’s 18 month old daughter was killed in the wreck.

The wreck apparently occurred when a Dodge driven by a woman named Ira Evans crossed the center-line and struck Mr. Burchette’s car.  Based on reports, police suspect alcohol may be involved with Ms. Evans.
