A terrible hit-and-run wreck near Creedmoor, North Carolina on Monday has resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
The wreck apparently happened on Munns Road when a car driven by Nicholas Dillard hit Linda Michalina. Unfortunately, Ms. Michalina did not survive the impact and was found lying on the side of the road. After the wreck, Mr. Dillard fled the scene but was arrested Tuesday morning.

Ordinarily we would discuss a wreck such as this in terms of an “accident”. But whenever a driver flees the scene after striking a pedestrian, it is hard to consider this an accident. Hopefully, prosecutors will bring some justice to Ms. Michalina’s family for this event. Also, we can only hope that Mr. Dillard had significant insurance to compensate the family for this tremendous loss.
