Lumberton, North Carolina Wreck Results in One Death and Serious Injuries

A terrible wreck on Wednesday morning near Lumberton has resulted in one death and serious injuries to a second person.

The wreck apparently happened when a woman ran off the road and then overcorrected and crossed the center line on Wiregrass Road.  The woman then hit a car driven by Elizabeth D. Sexton of Orrum, North Carolina.  Tragically, the first woman was killed and Ms. Sexton suffered multiple injuries requiring helicopter transport to UNC Hospitals.
