A hit and run accident early Saturday morning in Burlington has sent a man to the hospital with injuries.
The injured man was walking east on Graham Street when he was hit by a car. The car did not stop and the man was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
Hit and run accidents are very scary for the victim. Not only is the victim hurt, but often times the victim may not receive medical care as quickly as he should because the driver has fled the scene and no one has called emergency personnel. Fortunately, here it appears the victim will be OK. The victim in this case may still have a legal claim that can pursued under North Carolina law even though the driver is not identified.
