Two Inmates Injured in Wreck While Working on NCDOT Job

A wreck on Tuesday morning in Pitt County injured two inmates who were working on a DOT roadway job.

The wreck apparently happened when the inmates were riding in the back of an open-bed state truck when another truck struck the vehicle.  The inmates were transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
