A terrible wreck in Rocky Mount, North Carolina where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene has now resulted in the arrest of the driver, Maurice Lyons.
The wreck happened Tuesday evening near the intersection of Barnes Street and Fountain Street. The victim, Raymond Brown, was transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Mr. Lyons has now been charged with felony hit and run, driving while impaired, felony inflicting serious injury and driving with a revoked license.
