Helicopter Blows Over Tents at Havelock Chili Festival Causing Multiple Injuries

On Saturday afternoon an accident at the North Carolina Chili Festival in Havelock has resulted in several injuries.  Apparently, a Marine helicopter was taking off from the festival when winds from its rotors blew over several tents and tables.

The tents and tables hit several people including one woman who suffered a broken leg.  There were several other injuries as well.  A total of four people were taken to the hospital.

This is an unfortunate situation but certainly it would seem that proper precautions could have been followed and this accident could have been prevented.
