Greensboro Tour Bus Wrecks in Richmond – Company Has History of Violations

There are multiple articles about the terrible wreck earlier today on I-95 near Richmond.  According to a recent article from the AP, the tour bus company has a history of safety violations including 46 violations of driver fatigue during the last two years.

The SkyExpress bus swerved off northbound I-95 and hit an embankment about 30 miles north of Richmond.  The bus had left Greensboro Monday evening and the wreck apparently happened on Tuesday morning.  Police say driver fatigue played a role and the driver of the bus faces multiple charges.

This is a terrible wreck.  Obviously, there will be many claims arising from this wreck.  I expect it is doubtful that the bus company has sufficient insurance for all of the claims.  The injured passengers may need to look to their own insurance for additional coverage.
