In a terrible wreck in Martin County, North Carolina, two lives were lost when a truck driver caused both lanes of Prison Camp Road to be blocked while he backed his tractor-trailer into his driveway. The deceased are William Stokes and Calandra Cooper both of Williamston. The tractor-trailer driver, Garland Cratt, is charged with reckless driving. Click here for more.
This is obviously a terrible wreck but also a wreck that seemed destined to happen. It would seem obvious to the truck driver that he would block both lanes while backing his tractor-trailer into his driveway. It is a terrible shame that he used such poor judgment.
